Madison County, AL (November 30, 2024) – A fatal car crash on Friday, November 29, claimed the life of one driver and left another injured. The incident occurred at approximately 8:27 a.m. at the intersection of Kelly Springs Road and Highway 53, just outside Huntsville.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), a 2015 Honda Civic and a 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander collided under undetermined circumstances. The Honda driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the Mitsubishi, 32-year-old Shicoya L. Stevens, sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance to Huntsville Hospital for treatment.
Emergency responders, including paramedics and firefighters, worked to extract the victims from their vehicles and secure the crash site. Traffic in the area was redirected by law enforcement while the scene was cleared and the investigation began. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by ALEA.
