Colbert County, AL (November 29, 2024) – A fatal car crash occurred Thursday evening in Colbert County, claiming the life of a 64-year-old woman from Killen. The incident, reported by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, took place at approximately 6:15 p.m. at the intersection of US 72 and Old AL 20, about a mile south of Muscle Shoals.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Lisa M. Moore, 64, was driving a 2009 Toyota Tacoma when her vehicle was hit by a 2000 Ford F-250 driven by Jesus Guzman III, 23, of Russellville. Moore was pronounced dead at the scene. Guzman was transported to Huntsville Hospital with injuries.
Emergency responders, including fire personnel, worked to extricate the vehicles involved in the crash. The scene was secured by local authorities, with traffic being redirected as the investigation continued. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
