Mobile Co, AL (April 18, 2025) – A deadly two-car crash occurred early on April 18 along Interstate 65 near mile marker 24 in Creola, Alabama, resulting in the death of a New Mexico man. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) reported that the collision took place just before 7:00 a.m., near the Delta Bridges.
According to ALEA officials, a passenger vehicle driven by 25-year-old Bryon C. Adams collided with a commercial truck under circumstances still under investigation. Emergency personnel responded swiftly to the scene, which prompted the temporary closure of all northbound lanes of I-65. Traffic was diverted to Exit 19 while crews worked to clear the roadway.
Adams was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. Authorities say the impact was severe enough to require the assistance of fire crews to extricate him from the wreckage. The driver of the commercial truck sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance to Mobile Infirmary in Saraland for further treatment.
Local police, firefighters, and paramedics coordinated efforts to control the flow of traffic, assist the injured, and secure the crash site. ALEA later confirmed the scene was cleared and the interstate fully reopened by mid-morning.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of Bryon C. Adams during this incredibly difficult time. Our thoughts are with all those impacted by this tragic loss.
