Jefferson Co, AL (March 11, 2025) – A fatal crash occurred on Tuesday evening, March 11, in eastern Jefferson County, resulting in one woman’s death and four others being hospitalized, including two children. The incident, reported by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, happened at approximately 6:45 p.m. in the northbound lane of the 2900 block of Pinson Valley Parkway near Center Point.
According to Battalion Chief Chris Horn of Center Point Fire and Rescue, the crash involved three cars and occurred on the busy stretch of roadway. Firefighters responded quickly to the scene, assisting in the extraction of individuals from the wrecked vehicles. A female, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two children were transported to Children’s of Alabama Hospital, and two adults were also taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. The severity of the survivors’ injuries has not been immediately confirmed. Authorities are working to understand the cause of the crash.
Sheriff’s deputies closed the roadway to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident while fire and rescue personnel worked to clear the wreckage. The road was temporarily shut down as the investigation continued into the evening.
