Mobile, AL (May 24, 2025) – A man was critically hurt after a truck collided head-on with a dump truck on Thursday, May 23.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Three Notch Rd and Emerald Dr, according to Theodore Dawes Fire Rescue. Emergency crews arrived quickly at the scene around mid-morning.
Officials say the dump truck tipped onto its side after the collision. The man inside the truck that struck the dump truck suffered critical injuries. First responders had to remove the dump truck driver from the vehicle, though she was not seriously hurt. Cleanup crews later worked to remove diesel and oil from the roadway.
The exact cause of the crash has not been shared. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances around the collision.
