Mobile, AL (February 25, 2025) – A fatal crash occurred on February 25, at the intersection of Azalea Road and Burma Road in Mobile, leaving one person in critical condition and another with non-life-threatening injuries. According to the Mobile Police Department, a sedan collided with an SUV at the intersection. Upon arrival, officers found the driver of the sedan unconscious and in critical condition. Paramedics quickly transported the individual to a local hospital. The driver of the SUV was found with non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital in a personal vehicle.

Initially, local authorities reported the driver of the sedan as deceased. However, an update from the Mobile Police Department at 2:52 p.m. confirmed that the individual was revived by paramedics during transport to the hospital and is now in critical condition.

The crash caused significant traffic disruption, as both lanes of the intersection were blocked off. Emergency responders, including firefighters, were on the scene to assist with the extraction of the vehicles. Both the sedan and the SUV were towed from the location.
