Talladega Co, AL (January 18, 2025) – A fatal tractor-trailer crash occurred on January 17 on Priebes Mill Road near Interstate 20, resulting in the tragic death of an Anniston woman. The incident was reported at approximately 2:40 a.m. and happened less than a mile south of Oxford.  

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), 28-year-old Dazjiah K. Cunningham was driving a 2005 Toyota Camry when she collided head-on with a 2019 Volvo tractor-trailer driven by 35-year-old Jasmine S. Wilson of Montgomery. Authorities confirmed that Cunningham was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.  

Emergency responders, including paramedics and fire personnel, arrived at the scene shortly after the collision. Firefighters worked to extract the vehicles, while ambulances transported Wilson to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries. ALEA officers managed traffic at the scene as the investigation unfolded.  

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and further details have not been released at this time.
