Montgomery Co, AL – Antonio Ivarra Killed in Fatal Car Crash on AL 126

Montgomery Co, AL (December 6, 2024) – A fatal car crash occurred early Friday morning, on AL 126, claiming the life of a Phenix City man. According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the collision took place around 1:30 a.m. about one mile east of Montgomery.  

The crash involved two cars traveling on AL 126 when they collided head-on. Antonio Ivarra, 39, of Phoenix City, was ejected from his vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

The passenger in Ibarra’s car, Luis B. Reyes, 29, of Auburn, was injured in the crash and transported to Baptist Medical Center South for treatment. His condition has not been released at this time.  The driver of the second car involved in the crash was also taken to a nearby hospital for medical care.  

Emergency responders, including firefighters, worked to extract the vehicles and clear the scene. Local authorities controlled traffic and ensured public safety while the crash site was investigated. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency continues to investigate the cause of the accident.
