Birmingham, AL (November 17, 2024) – A fatal pedestrian hit-and-run occurred on November 14 in northern Birmingham, resulting in the tragic death of an adult male. The accident, reported by the Birmingham Police Department, took place at approximately 5:23 p.m. on Finley Boulevard, between 16th Street and 17th Street North.

According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, the victim was crossing Finley Blvd when he was hit by a car that fled the scene immediately after the collision. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the location, but despite their efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at 5:38 p.m.
