Baldwin Co, AL (November 16, 2024) – A tragic car crash occurred early Thursday morning in Baldwin County, resulting in the death of Robert M. Thompson, a 46-year-old man from Bay Minette. Thompson was driving a 2001 Ford Explorer when he collided with a 2001 Mack semi-tractor-trailer that had been disabled and was blocking the roadway. The impact caused severe damage to Thompson’s vehicle, and despite the efforts of emergency responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the disabled truck was not present during the crash.
