Pittsview, AL – Three Killed in Crash Near Georgia Border on US-431

Pittsview, AL (March 24, 2024) – On Thursday, March 21, three people were killed following a car accident in the Pittsview area. The deadly crash was reported on US-431 near mile marker 93 late that night at around 9:50 p.m. Local reports indicated that an 18-year-old was driving a 2001 Toyota 4Runner when they left the road. 

The Toyota hit a ditch before overturning. The driver suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers traveling in the were also killed in the accident. These passengers were later identified as 20-year-old Riley S. Witt of Cummings, GA,, and 19-year-old Shennan N. Darst, also of Cummings, GA.
