Montgomery, AL (February 24, 2024) – Fatal injuries were reported following a hit-and-run accident in the Montgomery area on Tuesday night, February 20. Late that night at around 10:09 p.m., emergency responders were dispatched to the crash site at the 1300 block of E. South Boulevard Service Road. Authorities were notified of a pedestrian that had been struck by a motor vehicle.
When paramedics arrived, they found 50-year-old Victoria Harris of Montgomery lying on the roadway. Harris suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead at the scene. The at-fault driver reportedly fled before officials arrived.
The area was temporarily closed as emergency units attended the scene. No additional information on the deadly pedestrian accident is currently available. Local law enforcement officials are handling the ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident.
