Bullock Co, AL (October 5, 2024) – A fatal tractor-trailer crash occurred on Wednesday, October 2, resulting in the death of a Montgomery woman. The collision took place at approximately 10:20 a.m. on U.S. 82 near mile marker 213, roughly five miles east of Midway.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the accident involved a head-on collision between a Toyota 4Runner and a Freightliner Cascadia tractor-trailer. The driver of the Toyota, identified as 39-year-old Guadalupe Hernandez-Gomez from Montgomery, was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency responders, including ambulances and firefighters, were dispatched to control the situation, transport the other injured driver of the freightliner to a local hospital, and assist in the extraction of both vehicles.
