Huntsville, AL (January 10, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash killed one man and left another injured on Friday night, January 9, near the Sparkman Drive overpass above Interstate 565 in Huntsville.
Emergency crews arrived around 9:47 p.m. after receiving reports of a serious crash in the area. Responders found one man unresponsive inside one of the vehicles. Despite efforts to save him, he died at the scene.
Another man was hurt during the crash. Paramedics treated him before taking him to Huntsville Hospital Trauma Services for further care. Officials said he was listed in stable condition.
Authorities identified the man who died as 26-year-old Fidelis Hayden. Crews spent several hours clearing the wreckage, examining the vehicles, and documenting the scene.
