Huntsville, AL (December 27, 2025) – A fatal crash on Saturday night, December 27, claimed one life and left two others injured on Highway 72 West near Providence Main Street in Huntsville. The collision occurred shortly after 8:00 p.m., according to HEMSI spokesperson Don Webster.
Emergency crews arrived within minutes and found three people hurt inside the wreckage. Paramedics rushed two victims to Huntsville Hospital Trauma Services for advanced treatment. Sadly, one woman died from her injuries while being transported to the hospital.
A third person also sustained injuries and was taken for additional evaluation but is expected to recover. Responders shut down the roadway for several hours as they treated the victims, removed debris, and reopened the area to traffic.
Authorities have not confirmed how many vehicles were involved or what led to the collision. Crews later cleared the area and restored normal traffic flow. The Huntsville Police Department is handling the investigation to determine the cause of the deadly crash.
