Cullman County, AL (December 14, 2025) – A tragic two-vehicle crash on Friday, December 12, claimed one life and left five others injured on Interstate 65 in Cullman County. The crash happened around 2:10 p.m. near County Route 222, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Investigators said a 2006 Toyota Tundra collided with a 2005 Infiniti G35 in the southbound lanes. The impact was violent, crushing both vehicles and scattering debris across the roadway. A 33-year-old Cullman man riding in the Infiniti died at the scene from fatal injuries.
Emergency crews arrived within minutes and treated several injured victims before arranging transport. The Toyota driver and two young passengers were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment, while the Infiniti’s driver and another passenger were airlifted to UAB Hospital in Birmingham for emergency care due to the severity of their injuries.
Crews worked for hours to assist the victims, remove the wreckage, and reopen the interstate. Traffic slowed for miles as firefighters, paramedics, and state troopers coordinated their efforts. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continues to investigate what caused the deadly crash.
We extend our deepest condolences to the family of the man who lost his life in this accident. Our thoughts are also with the injured victims, and we wish them a full and swift recovery.
Fatal Car Accidents in Alabama
Fatal crashes are among the most heartbreaking events a family can experience.
High-speed crashes are especially dangerous because of the intense force involved. Victims may suffer fatal head trauma, spinal injuries, or internal bleeding that claim lives even with fast medical attention. Families are left struggling with medical bills, funeral expenses, and the emotional and financial impact of losing someone they love.
Fatal crashes in Alabama happen for many reasons, including distracted driving, speeding, fatigue, and unsafe lane changes. Weather and traffic congestion can make conditions even more dangerous. Regardless of the cause, every family affected by a fatal crash deserves compassion, support, and justice.
If you lost a loved one in a fatal accident, you may be able to file a wrongful death claim. This legal action allows you to seek compensation for medical costs, funeral expenses, lost income, and the emotional suffering caused by your loss. While no amount of money can replace a loved one, compensation can help ease financial pressures and provide a sense of closure.
A skilled wrongful death lawyer can investigate the crash, gather key evidence, and protect your rights through every step of the process. Legal guidance is especially important when dealing with insurance companies that often try to settle quickly or pay less than what a case is truly worth.
