Mobile, AL – Passenger Killed, Driver Injured in Crash on US 45

Mobile, AL (September 20, 2025) – A devastating crash on Friday, September 19, claimed the life of a young passenger in Mobile County.

The accident happened around 3:20 p.m. on US 45, about two miles south of Citronelle. A 2017 Toyota Camry veered off the highway and slammed into a tree.

Authorities confirmed that 20-year-old Christian Dubose of Lisman suffered devastating injuries in the crash. Paramedics rushed him to Mobile Infirmary in Saraland, where doctors tried to save him. Sadly, he later died at the hospital.

The driver, 19-year-old Christopher S. Dubose of Lisman, survived the crash but suffered serious injuries. Crews took him to USA Health University Hospital in Mobile for treatment.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency are still investigating what caused the Camry to leave the road.
