Mobile, AL – One Injured in Two-Car Crash at Old Shell Rd & Upham St

Mobile, AL (August 16, 2025) – A serious collision left one person injured on Saturday, August 16. The incident occurred around 4:01 p.m. near the intersection of Old Shell Road and Upham Street in the busy Midtown area.

Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and found one of the drivers suffering from severe injuries inside their vehicle. Firefighters and medics worked urgently to free the injured person and provide immediate treatment before transporting them to a nearby hospital.

The injured driver was in critical condition at the time of transport.

Authorities have not released the identities of those involved.

The Mobile Police Department is continuing its investigation to determine what caused the collision. More information is expected as updates become available.
