Montgomery Co, AL (February 14, 2025) – A fatal car crash occurred on February 13 just outside Montgomery, claiming the life of a local man. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) reported that the incident happened at approximately 7:00 p.m. on State Route 126, about two miles east of Montgomery. 

According to ALEA, two cars collided head-on, resulting in a fiery wreck. One of the drivers, identified as Joseph R. Miller, 28, of Montgomery, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The second vehicle was driven by a man from North Carolina, whose current condition remains unknown. 

Emergency responders, including Montgomery County Fire & Rescue and ALEA troopers, arrived promptly at the scene. Firefighters worked to extinguish the flames that engulfed at least one of the vehicles, while paramedics provided immediate medical assistance. The injured driver was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities temporarily closed Ala 126 to clear debris and investigate the cause of the crash.
