Dora, AL (November 26, 2024) – A fatal motorcycle crash occurred on Tuesday evening in Dora, claiming the life of a 44-year-old man. The incident, reported by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, took place around 8:45 p.m. on Hwy 78 in Jasper.
According to authorities, the victim, identified as Michael Lee Able, was driving a motorcycle when the collision occurred. The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
First responders, including emergency medical personnel, arrived at the scene shortly after the crash. Able was quickly transported by ambulance to Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper. Tragically, he was pronounced dead about an hour after arrival at the hospital.
