Geneva Co, AL (September 30, 2024) – An injury multi-car crash occurred today at approximately 12:37 p.m. at the intersection of E County Road 4 and S County Road 9. Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene, including Hartford Fire Rescue, Fadette Volunteer Fire, Slocomb Fire Rescue, the Geneva County Sheriff’s Department, and ALEA Troopers.

Initial reports indicated that a van was overturned, with one person trapped inside and injuries reported among the three cars involved in the collision. In response to the critical nature of the situation, Survival Flight was launched with an estimated response time of 17 minutes.

However, by 12:54 p.m., the first arriving unit reported that all patients were “walking wounded,” indicating they were able to move independently. The injured individuals were subsequently transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

Firefighters played a crucial role in the extraction of the individuals from the cars, ensuring that the scene was safe and under control. The Geneva County Sheriff’s Department managed traffic in the area to minimize congestion and ensure the safety of all responders.

We hope all those hurt in this wreck make a timely recovery.
