Selma, AL (April 17, 2024) – On Tuesday, April 16, a local man was killed while riding a motorcycle outside of Selma. The deadly accident occurred on US-80 late that night around 6:45 p.m. The victim reportedly hit a Jeep while traveling on the highway.
It was later revealed that 44-year-old Timothy Rubin of Selma was riding a motorcycle when he collided with the back of a Jeep driven by 39-year-old Steven Manuel of Pike Road. Rubin was thrown from the bike and hit the roadway. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide the necessary aid. Despite life-saving measures from responding medical personnel, Rubin suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. No updates on the deadly crash have been provided at this time. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
