Fatal Head-on Crashes in Alabama
Certain types of car crashes are known to result in more devastating injuries. When two vehicles in opposite directions crash head-on, the resulting injuries can be life-changing. Unfortunately, these types of accidents are involved in nearly 10 percent of reported traffic fatalities. This is significant when you consider that head-on impacts only account for less than 2 percent of reported crashes each year. According to findings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), head-on crashes have a nearly 56 percent fatality rate, and if you lost someone close to you in a head-on accident caused by a reckless driver, you need to consult with a trained wrongful death lawyer in order to pursue a strong claim for compensation.
Losing someone close to you is never expected. In an instant, your life can be completely changed after a deadly collision. Even fatal crashes can cause significant financial damages. However, instead of falling on the victim, these losses are left to the surviving family members. While dealing with grief and unexpected burial and funeral costs, these damages can make life incredibly difficult. The at-fault party needs to be held responsible for their role in a deadly car crash.
