Moulton, AL (March 26, 2024) – On Saturday, March 23, a Blountsville man was killed after a crash involving a motorcycle and an ambulance in the Moulton area. The deadly accident was reported on AL-157 near County Road 243 late that night at around 9:25 p.m. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched after being notified of a serious collision.
Local reports revealed that 33-year-old Sidney L. Canada II of Blountsville was on a disabled 2003 Honda VT600 motorcycle when he was hit by a 2017 Ford T250 Ambulance, driven by 21-year-old Hunter A. Harrell of Russellville. Canada suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Harrell and the onboard patient, 35-year-old Rochelle M. Ducharme of Sheffield, were transported to Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield for treatment of sustained injuries. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
