Fatal ATV Accidents in Alabama
ATVs are great recreation vehicles enjoyed by many living in Alabama. Unfortunately, these vehicles are not necessarily made to share the road with large vehicles. There is limited protection afforded to riders in the event of a crash, meaning that these accidents can easily cause fatal injuries. Statistics show that there are more than 4,400 catastrophic injuries involving ATV accidents across the country each year, and more than 135,000 people are hurt annually in these crashes, with over 100,000 emergency room visits. If you recently lost someone close to you in a deadly crash, you may be able to recover lost compensation by pursuing a wrongful death claim with the help of a trained attorney.
Dealing with a fatal crash is never easy. Someone dear to you could disappear in a second, and it can take a lifetime for you to fully heal from the grief you are currently experiencing. It is unfair to force surviving family members to pay for accident-related damages in the event of a deadly accident. To get every penny of the compensation you are owed, you must be ready to take the required actions to pursue a strong claim. It is not fair for family members to be burdened with the resulting damages of a deadly crash caused by another person’s reckless actions.
Under Alabama state law, families are able to file wrongful death claims after a fatal crash in order to recover compensation for resulting damages. However, these types of cases are often very complicated and involve a lot of red tape that can be difficult to understand.
