Birmingham, AL (March 29, 2024) – On Thursday, March 28, one person was killed and another was injured after a car accident in the Birmingham area. The deadly accident was reported at around 5:31 p.m. at the 2600 block of Jefferson Avenue. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to the scene after being notified of a two-vehicle collision. 

One person involved in the crash sustained fatal injuries and later succumbed to their injuries. Another victim was hurt. The circumstances leading to the crash have not been determined. The area was temporarily closed while local authorities worked to clear the scene. No further information on the deadly accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in the hands of local law enforcement officials.
