Dora, AL (February 17, 2024) – Two people were killed after a single-vehicle car accident in the Dora area on Thursday morning, February 15. The fatal crash occurred on Snowville-Brent Road in Jefferson County early that morning before 1:53 a.m. Two people were reportedly traveling in a white Nissan sedan when it left the road and crashed into a tree. 

The vehicle caught fire as a result of the impact. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene after reports of a fire. Both occupants suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. 

At this time, the circumstances leading to the deadly crash have not been determined. The identities of the deceased parties have not been provided. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials, and more updates will be provided as it continues.
