Two-Vehicle Collisions in Mobile
Two-vehicle crashes are among the most frequent and dangerous types of roadway accidents in Mobile and across Alabama. Even at moderate speeds,
Intersections, like the one at Somerville St and Varus Plain, are especially prone to collisions. Many crashes occur when drivers misjudge another vehicle’s speed, run red lights, or fail to yield the right of way. Distracted driving also plays a major role in these accidents. Looking away from the road, even for a few seconds, can be enough to cause a serious collision.
In Alabama, establishing liability after a two-vehicle crash can be complicated. The state follows a contributory negligence rule, meaning a victim may be denied compensation if found even slightly at fault. This makes it critical for injured individuals to seek legal representation to ensure their rights are protected and that a thorough investigation is conducted.
A Mobile car accident lawyer can help gather evidence such as witness statements, police reports, and surveillance footage to determine who is responsible. Compensation may cover medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, and future rehabilitation costs. If the crash results in a fatality, the victim’s family may also pursue a wrongful death claim to seek justice and financial support.
