Mobile, AL (June 1, 2025) – A crash involving a police vehicle and at least two other cars took place early Sunday, June 1, at the corner of St. Stephens Road and Lafayette Road.
The collision occurred around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 1. A police cruiser ended up on the sidewalk with front-end damage, while a white pickup truck was found in a nearby parking lot. A small gray sedan remained on the road with major front-end damage and a shattered windshield.
The driver of the sedan appeared visibly shaken and said she had just been heading to her destination when the crash occurred. Several Mobile Police officers and a fire rescue unit responded to the scene. Authorities have not confirmed how the crash happened or if anyone suffered serious injuries.
Officials are also investigating a separate incident nearby at Phat Tuesday Sports Bar, located less than a mile from the crash. Several police cruisers were seen in that parking lot, and officers were talking to people outside. It is unknown if the two scenes are related. Police continue to investigate this early morning crash.
