Coden, AL (July 7, 2025) – Two people were hurt after a boating accident on Bayou Coden, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
The crash happened when a 1998 19-foot Pro Line 190 boat, driven by a 35-year-old man from Coden, struck another boat. The second vessel was a 2006 19-foot Carolina Skiff, operated by 54-year-old Wilson Johnson. Misty Johnson, also 54, was a passenger on the Skiff at the time.
Both Wilson and Misty Johnson, who live in Coden, were taken to USA Health University Hospital for treatment after the crash. Their current conditions are not yet known. The man operating the Pro Line 190 was not hurt in the incident. Officials have not released details on what caused the collision or whether any charges will be filed.
