Tuscaloosa, AL (June 11, 2025) – A pedestrian was killed in a traffic accident early Tuesday, June 10 morning on McFarland Blvd, also known as US Hwy 82, in Tuscaloosa.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department responded to the scene around 6 a.m., near the intersection with Old Montgomery Hwy. According to reports, the crash involved a pedestrian and occurred in the westbound lanes. Officials confirmed that the pedestrian was fatally injured.

At the time of the incident, police closed the stretch of McFarland Blvd between Tuscaloosa Ford and Old Jug Factory Rd to investigate. Eastbound lanes remained open during the response. The identity of the victim has not yet been released, and police have not confirmed what led to the collision.
