Town Creek, AL (June 11, 2025) – A Town Creek man died following a motorcycle collision late Tuesday, June 10, on Lawrence County Route 143. The crash occurred near Route 141, approximately six miles southwest of Town Creek, at about 10:08 p.m.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency identified the victim as 42-year-old Anthony B. Maxwell. He was riding a 2008 Harley-Davidson when it collided head-on with a 2014 Dodge Durango driven by a 16-year-old. Maxwell was pronounced dead at the scene.

The teenager survived, though police have not disclosed their injuries. Both vehicles came to rest near the roadway’s edge. Enforcement agents are leading the ongoing investigation, examining all possible causes.
