The crash happened around 3 a.m. at the intersection of Church St and S Lawrence St. According to reports, an SUV slammed into two utility poles and a lamp post before coming to rest on its side.

When first responders arrived, one person was already out of the vehicle and was being treated on the ground. Firefighters were working to free the second occupant, who was still trapped inside the overturned SUV.

Photos from the scene showed one utility pole broken near the base and another leaning. The impact also damaged a nearby streetlight.
