Jefferson Co, AL (May 14, 2025) – An injury car crash occurred on Wednesday morning involving two vehicles and causing significant disruptions to eastbound traffic on Interstate 20/59 near the 18th Ave/Exit 113 in the Brighton-Lipscomb area.

According to local authorities, the crash happened during peak morning traffic hours, resulting in stop-and-go conditions that extended back to the Alabama Adventure Parkway/Exit 110. Emergency responders, including paramedics and firefighters, arrived quickly at the scene. One individual sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment. The severity of the injuries has not yet been disclosed.
