Deadly Semi-Truck Accidents in Alabama

Pike Road, AL - Union Springs Man Dies in Truck Crash on AL-110

In the event of an accident, commercial trucks are more likely to result in serious or fatal injuries. Your chances of sustaining potentially fatal injuries will always be greater when a semi is involved. An estimated 148 people are killed in 3,455 semi-truck crashes that are reported in Alabama annually. Every year in the United States, there are over 500,000 heavy truck crashes that result in over 5,000 fatalities on average. When completely loaded, a commercial vehicle can weigh up to 70,000 pounds, which is more than enough to result in significant casualties in the event of an accident. Sadly, there is a far greater chance of fatal injury in trucking accidents. If a loved one dies in an accident, you should be prepared to protect your legal rights with the assistance of a knowledgeable attorney.

Semi-truck accident cases are frequently complex because they involve several parties. There may be more at play here than just one negligent truck driver. The trucking company may have been involved, as well as a third-party manufacturer or parts provider. Truck accident claims are regulated by special rules, so you should work with an attorney who has handled accident cases before to manage your claim. After a fatal 18-wheeler collision, you should investigate all of your legal options for bringing a wrongful death claim. It is in your best advantage to have an experienced lawyer defend your legal rights.
