Pike Road, AL (June 24, 2024) – On Friday, June 21, a Union Springs man was killed after a crash with a semi-truck in the Pike Road area. The incident was reported on AL-110 near mile marker nine between Vaughn Road and Marler Road early that morning, around 10:15 a.m. Local reports revealed that 76-year-old Eugene Lysykanycz of Union Springs was driving a 2010 Volvo CC Sport when he collided with a pickup truck.
After the initial impact, Lysykanycz crashed into a 2023 Mack MD6 commercial truck. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties.
